We deal with a Cauchy problem for a scalar conservation law in one space dimension. The
flux function is assumed to be nonconvex, in particular, to have a single inflection point. We
consider a compactly supported initial datum and regard it as a control. The main result of
the paper states sufficient conditions for a function v to be attained at a fixed time T by a
trajectory of the conservation law.
