Götz Seibold graduated from the University of Stuttgart with a degree in physics (1991) and a doctorate in theoretical physics (1995). He is now a Full Professor at the Institute of Physics at BTU Cottbus-Senfenberg and was elected Dean of the Faculty for Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Information Technology. His work is dedicated to the understanding of strongly correlated electrons and the mechanism of high-Tc superconductivity.
