Charlemagne (pronounced [ʃaʁ.lə.maɲ]) is an aff-island suburb o Montreal, Quebec, Canadae. It is locatit on the north shore o the Rivière des Prairies, 24 kilometre (15 mi) northeast o Montreal's dountoun core. As o 2011, the population wis 5,853.
It is the birthplace o recordin airtist, Céline Dion,[4] who is the winner o the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, Ireland wi her song, Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi an whom the toun's cooncil namit ane o its main streets efter,[5] doin so athoot the recognition o the Quebec Commission.[6] Addeetionally, the toun erectit a sculptur on Dion's behauf.[6] Charlemagne is the birthplace o politeecian, Camille Laurin an aw.
