Västerås [vɛstərˈoːs] (Scots exonym: Wast Aros) is a ceety in central Swaden, locatit on the shore o Lake Mälaren in the province Västmanland, some 100 km wast o Stockholm. The ceety haes a population o 110,877 inhabitants in 2010,[1] oot o the municipal total o 137,207 (2010).
Västerås is the seat o Västerås Municipality, the caipital o Västmanland Coonty an an episcopal see.
