- Indiana’s NFIP 101, February & March 2025
We will host the “Indiana’s NFIP 101” beginning in February 2025. This workshop focuses on all aspects of running a successful floodplain management program, including proper permitting of all development, and explains a community’s responsibilities under the NFIP. We are offering this workshop as a three-part series virtually and as a single in-person event at the Indiana State Government Center in Indianapolis.
Community officials (i.e., floodplain administrators, zoning administrators, surveyors, planners, building officials, commissioners, council members, or mayors) who are new or just want a refresher are encouraged to attend. The workshop will offer continuing education credits (CECs) for Certified Floodplain Managers (CFM) and Professional Engineers (PE).
Attending all three virtual parts OR the in-person event meets SEA 242, which requires local floodplain administrators to complete an approved training by June 30, 2025.
