Alexander Rybak

Alexander Rybak (born 13 May 1986) is a Belarusian-born Norwegian singer, composer and violinist.[1] He won the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Fairytale".
He was born in Minsk, Belarusian SSR. His family moved to Norway when he was four.
Eurovision Song Contest
[change | change source]In 2009, Rybak won Melodi Grand Prix, allowing him to represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Fairytale".[2] He won the contest.[3]
Rybak won the Melodi Grand Prix again in 2018 with the song "That’s How You Write a Song", sending him to the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.[4] He placed 15th in the final. He had a cameo appearance in the Eurovision movie.

Alexander Rybak has won the Norwegian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, 'Melodi Grand Prix 2018', with the song 'That's How You Write A Song' and will represent the country in Lisbon in May.
