François Baron Englert (French: [ɑ̃ɡlɛʁ]; born 6 November 1932) is a Belgian theoretical physicist. In 2013, he won the Nobel Prize in Physics with Peter Higgs for their work in the discovery of the Brout-Englert-Higgs mechanism.
