Jim Jefferies (comedian)
Geoff James Nugent[1] (born 14 February 1977), better known as Jim Jefferies, is an Australian stand-up comedian, actor and writer. He is well known in the United Kingdom and the United States. He also has a number of Netflix specials. In 2017, he began starring in the Comedy Central talk show The Jim Jefferies Show.
Early life
[change | change source]Jefferies was born in February 1977 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.[2] His father was a cabinet maker and maintenance worker,[3] his mother was a teacher. He moved to Perth to study musical theatre and classical music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. James began his career in stand-up comedy several months before completing his degree.[4] He relocated to Sydney and then to the UK.
Familly
[change | change source]He has two older brothers: Scott, an investment banker, and Daniel, an inspector in the New South Wales Police Force's Public Order and Riot Squad.
He has a son, Hank, with actress Kate Luyben.[5]
