- Holotype: MVZ 258198, adult ♂, xollected by Jodi J.L. Rowley, Bryan L. Stuart and Neang Thy on 13 October 2007.
- Type locality: “on 2 cm diameter tree root, 0.5 m from 2 m wide, swift, rocky stream in Virachey National Park, Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia (14.19287° N, 106.99612° E, 650 m)”.
