So the project of this summer has been to create a new wall mural. So here is the progress!

After the painful separation from the lovely lady on my wall, entire wall has become a nice primer white. I even bought and installed a new closet door so that i could have a wider canvas.

After the door was installed, the next task was to choose the mural concept. Being such a HUGE comic book fan, i decided the best decision would be to make an homage to my childhood. I have chosen jim lee’s xmen cover. issue 1

Then, the task is to grid the wall to allow for a more accurate proportion increase. This is one of the few times I need math.. Ok, if the original sketch is 10.5 inches x 25.5 inches, and my wall is 100 inches x 195 inches, what is the best proportion to fit the entire mural accurately.. Phew.. The answer was 70 inches x 178.5 inches or 5.8 ft x 14.875 ft.. Meaning each square of the grid is 7x7 inches .. Blarg to you math!
