Walkthrough
Overview
The mission takes place in a replica of the Splatoon 2 tutorial area, traversing through the map in reverse, with the addition of enemies and obstacles. Agent 8 must reach the end of the area to complete the mission while watching out for enemy ambushes.
First checkpoint
After Super Jumping to the stage, Agent 8 lands on the pedestal that houses the launchpad in the tutorial version of the stage. At the end of the first alleyway and after the first turn, several Sanitized Octotroopers will spawn when the player gets close.
Second checkpoint
The second checkpoint precedes the large place with rubbish sacks, covered in ink. There are two Sanitized Octodivers, one of them is a common Octotrooper and the other one is a Twintacle Octotrooper. In the following tunnel, on the right, Agent 8 will be attacked by a Sanitized Octoling. In the next alley, some Octotroopers will attack the players from moving platforms that slide on the walls.
Third checkpoint
In the construction site, Agent 8 will be attacked by an Elite Octoling who wields an Octo Shot and a common Octoling with an Octarian Hero Slosher; they will super jump from the scaffolding above the area. Two Twintacle Octotroopers will attack the player from the pillars leading to the next area.
On the right, immediately after having jumped in the construction area, there is a hidden crate that contains a few Power Eggs submerged in the ink; another one is in an ink patch behind the platform where the Sanitized Octoling with a slosher will land.
Fourth checkpoint
After a little wall of crates, the player will be attacked by a common Octoling and an Elite Octoling, both wielding the Octo Shot, respectively by a super jump and from an ink patch in the second half of the first alleyway; another Elite Octoling, with a slosher, is waiting for Agent 8 after two turns in the same alley.
The last alley is the one that conducts to the train station where the tutorial stage of Splatoon 2 begins. The goal is in front of the station, but a Sanitized Octosniper oversees the little street, with the help of three Octotroopers who attack from the top of stacks of shielded crates that the player can use as a cover. An Elite Octoling with an Octarian Hero Brella will super jump and land at the beginning of the alley to attack the player.
Tips
Splat Dualies
Splat Dualies will be a balanced choice; they lack range, but on the other hand, they have a good fire rate that gets rid of the enemies quickly. These dualies are perfect for defeating Octolings easily, but when the player is facing enemies who attack from a high platform, it's better to alternate the main weapon with the provided sub, Burst Bomb, which lacks power but consumes little ink. Another important strategy is to make good use of the chance to perform dodge rolls, especially when facing Octolings and the Octosniper who attacks from the goal.
Undercover Brella
Although damage potential is not the best, the Undercover Brella will provide a better range than the Splat Dualies and a decent shielding. It is probably the best set for the mission; defeating the Octarians will be easier and the Splat Bomb will be very useful against Octolings.
Bamboozler 14 Mk I
The Bamboozler 14 Mk I will require a good technique to complete the mission; defeating Octotroopers will be very easy, thanks to a range better than that of the other provided weapons, and a quite good power that will one-shot common Octotroopers; however, fighting against Octolings will be a little more difficult, and a proper use of the Curling Bomb will be helpful, especially against super jumping Octolings (taking the distance from some of them, like the first one in the tunnel, will be helpful to splat them combining the disturbance factor of the Curling Bombs with the quickness of the Bamboozler 14 Mk I). A combined use of a Curling Bomb and the Bamboozler itself will be useful to avoid the attacks of the Octosniper and to splat it at the same time.

Trivia
- This stage is essentially the Tutorial of Splatoon 2 but in reverse.
- Two of the three weapons that the player can use in this mission, Splat Dualies and Bamboozler 14 Mk I, come with the sub weapons from their original sets in online mode, respectively Burst Bomb and Curling Bomb.
- However, the Undercover Brella's Sub weapon is based on its Sorella variant in online modes, as it comes with Splat Bombs in its kit.
Etymology
The title and subtitle are a reference to the lyric "Dance, magic dance!" from David Bowie's song Magic Dance, as heard in the 1986 film Labyrinth, in which he also starred.

Translation notes
- ↑ A pun on "databank". It is also the name of a Casio watch. It was popular in eighties Japan.
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 A reference to New York City with its nickname "The City That Never Sleeps".
- ↑ "Scoloropoli" is a distortion of "Coloropoli" (Italian name for Inkopolis) with the privative "s-", similarly to "a-" or "de-"; since the mission takes place in a distorted reconstruction of a neighborhood in Inkopolis, "Coloropoli" is preceded with the "s-" and becomes "Scoloropoli" (literally, Deinkopolis).
- ↑ A part of a Russian threatening phrase "Позвонить есть? А если найду?" ("Do you have a phone to call? What if I find it?"), which is typically used by roughnecks to take away a victim's mobile phone and/or rob it.
