Stony Brook Selected as No. 5 Seed in 2018 Division I NCAA Tournament

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook women's lacrosse has been selected as the No. 5 national seed for the 2018 NCAA Tournament, as announced during the NCAA Division I Selection Show on Sunday evening.

The Seawolves will square off with the winner of Penn and Penn State on Sunday, May 13 from LaValle Stadium.

Stony Brook is the only unbeaten team heading into the NCAA Tournament, going 19-0 (7-0 AE) so far this year. The Seawolves cruised past Albany, 22-14, earlier on Sunday to earn their sixth-straight America East championship. Stony Brook has been ranked No. 1 nationally in all three major polls (IWLCA Coaches' Poll, Cascade/Inside Lacrosse, Nike/US Lacrosse) for 10-straight weeks now, and is currently on the longest win streak in program history. The Seawolves have won 32-straight contests at LaValle Stadium.
