Man Fatally Struck by 7 Train in Sunnyside Wednesday

A man is dead after he was struck by a 7 train at the 46th Street-Bliss Street station this morning, MTA officials and the police said.

The victim jumped in front of the Flushing-bound 7 train at around 9:37 a.m. as it pulled into the station, according to the police.

Emergency Medical Services pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said.

Power was turned off to allow first responders to the scene and services were suspended in both directions on the 7 line for about an hour, according to the MTA.

Police do not suspect criminality and were unable to provide any further information. The man’s identity has not been released.

Sadly, we are only at the Beginning of this Pandemic and have Not Reached our Peak of the Curve! Millions of People losing their Jobs & income will become more & more Desperate!

I lived right by the Bliss Street Station, up to age 11 1/2. That poor man must have been SO depressed! May God understand his mental plight, and may he rest in Peace!
