The IBPS PO Exam 2025 will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection to recruit eligible candidates for Probationary Officer posts in 11 public sector banks across India. This year marks the 15th edition of the exam under IBPS CRP PO/MT CRP-XV 2025. The selection process includes three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interview.

IBPS PO 2025: Important Dates

The online registration dates for IBPS PO 2025 will be announced along with the official notification in August 2025 on www.ibps.in. The important dates for IBPS PO/MT CRP-XV 2025 will be updated in the table below once they are released.

IBPS PO Vacancy 2025

The IBPS PO vacancies for 2025 will be announced along with the official notification. Last year, IBPS released 3,955 vacancies for Probationary Officer and Management Trainee posts. The Central Bank of India had the highest number of vacancies, with 1,500 openings.

IBPS PO Application Process 2025 

IBPS PO application process is completely online. Candidates must apply for the recruitment within the deadline specified by the authorities. Aspirants can fill out the IBPS PO Application Form by following the steps mentioned below:

IBPS PO 2025 Selection Process

The candidates will undergo 3 stages of the selection process as part of the IBPS Probationary Officer Recruitment. The details of the same are discussed here.

Preliminary Examination

In the online preliminary examination, the IBPS authority selects candidates for the Mains examination. The exam will be an objective-type test for 100 marks.

Mains Examination

Candidates who qualify the Prelims will be eligible for the Mains. The exam will include objective as well as descriptive-type questions for 225 marks. Those who qualify this stage will be shortlisted for the interview.

Interview

The Nodal Bank of the respective State/ UT screens the candidates in the interview round. It carries a weightage of 100 marks.

Provisional Allotment

IBPS declares the provisional allotment for the candidates who qualify after the Mains exam and Interview round. The provisional allotment is made on the basis of candidate's performance, rank in the mains exam, reservation criteria and the preference of banks opted by the candidate at the time of application. Candidates can check their provisional allotment status on the official website of IBPS by login in through their registration details. The allotment is provisional and subject to verification of original documents and meeting eligibility criteria of the allotted bank. This is the final stage of the selection process for the post of IBPS PO.

IBPS PO 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the examination, candidates must be aware of the IBPS PO eligibility criteria specified by the authorities in terms of their age, qualifications, experience, etc. The details of the same are given below.

• The IBPS PO age limit is 20 to 30 years.
• Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or any graduation degree recognized by the state or central government of India.

Credit Score Requirements

Candidates should ensure that they maintain a healthy Credit history at the time of joining of participating banks. The minimum credit score will be as per the policy of Participating Banks, amended from time to time. 

• Those candidates whose CIBIL status has not been updated before the date of joining, have to either get the CIBIL status updated or produce the NOCs from the lender, to the effect that there is no outstanding with respect to the accounts adversely reflected in the CIBIL. 
• Failing to do so will lead to the letter of offer being withdrawn / cancelled. The final discretion in this regard will remain with the allotted Bank. 
• Candidates with no bank account shall not be required to produce the CIBIL status. 

However, the CIBIL Score requirement is not a pre-condition to apply.

The gross pay for an IBPS PO is approximately ₹83,125, which reflects the attractive salary offered to banking professionals. Candidates will be able to download their IBPS PO call letter by logging into their account on the official website using their credentials. The admit card is a mandatory document to carry to the exam center without which entry will not be allowed.
