Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has not met with the US President-elect Donald Trump. Huang stated in a Bloomberg interview he has not received an invitation and will be delighted to meet him.
When asked if he had been invited to visit Mar-a-Lago, Trump's Palm Beach resort, Huang responded, “Not yet but I would be delighted to go see him and congratulate him and do everything we can to help this administration succeed.”
Huang’s comments highlight his willingness to engage with the incoming administration and offer support in any way possible.
Trump said at one of his news conferences last month that everybody wants to be his friend.
“One of the big differences between the first term, in the first term, everybody was fighting me. In this term, everybody wants to be my friend,” Trump said.
“I don't know, my personality changed or something,” he added.
Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos have already met Trump
Several tech billionaires, including CEO of Facebook parent company Mark Zuckerberg and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, have met Trump at Mar-a-Lago following his victory in the November presidential election.
Trump has enjoyed a warm reception from business leaders as he prepares to take office for the second time.
In December, a report by The New York Times said that Apple CEO Tim Cook also met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, marking the first time that Apple’s chief has met with the president-elect since his win. Other reports claimed that Google CEO Sundar Pichai was also due to meet Trump at his resort.
Citing sources, The Information claimed that Pichai may not “make any direct overtures to Trump about the antitrust lawsuit or other regulatory topics.”
Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal reported that Elon Musk has emerged as a key 'gatekeeper,' making it necessary for those seeking a meeting with Trump to go through the Tesla CEO first. This situation has reportedly complicated matters for OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, whose strained relationship with Musk has made it even more challenging for him to secure a meeting.
