Airth, the revolutionary device that transforms regular ACs into air purifiers, makes an entry on Shark Tank India 4, showcasing its innovative solution to tackle air pollution. Ravi Kaushik, an expert in Aerosol Engineering from
IIT Bombay, and Abhimanyu Kumar, who drew inspiration from his mother's struggles with asthma, have created a product that addresses a critical need in the market. In a country where air quality is a growing concern, Airth stands out by transforming hundreds of lives daily by changing how one breathes.
With its impressive performance and affordable pricing, Airth is set to make a lasting impact on public health, providing a breath of fresh air to millions of Indians. The device’s appearance on the show has not only caught the attention of the Sharks but also sparked conversations nationwide about its potential to improve air quality.
Looking for an investment of ₹60 lakhs in exchange for 1% equity, the founders are confident that with the right investor, they can take their product to every household in India and make a real impact on the country's air quality. As they gave the demo of their product, Vineeta was highly impressed by the product. While understanding the unit economics of the business, Anupam gave a deal of Rs 1 cr for 5% as he demanded a higher equity in the brand. Anupam asks whether they want a co-founder and Ravi agrees. Furthermore, Vineeta Singh also offers Rs 60 Lakhs for 2% and Aman also matches the offer. Varun Dua and Peyush Bansal opt-out as they were not sure about the longevity of the product. However, Varun lauds the founders for their honesty in the business.
The pitchers come with a counteroffer of Rs 96 Lakhs at 3% equity and all three sharks. Anupam refuses and revises his offer, 'Aapko paise chahiye na, main 2 cr dene ke liye tayyaar hoo but at 5%." Aman and Vineeta come together to offer Rs 96 Lakhs for 4% equity. Amid a negotiation, Aman increases to Rs 1cr for 3.7% equity. Anupam still tries to convince them. Aman gets aggitated and asks for the last time for the deal and says, 'I can't fight for .5%, or else I am out." The pitchers then go for Aman and Vineeta.
"Being on Shark Tank India was an incredible experience. I believe that clean air is a fundamental right, and our devices can significantly impact people's lives. The platform allowed us to share our mission and the impact we aim to have on improving air quality. It reinforced our commitment to developing innovative solutions that empower individuals to breathe cleaner air and live healthier lives, especially in polluted environments. The exposure and feedback from the Sharks were invaluable in helping us take our vision to the next level," says Ravi Kaushik.
