Sundowner

Sundowner is a cyborg for the Desperado PMC.

NOTE: This video contains strategies for completing the boss fight with an 'S' ranking on the Revengeance difficulty. It makes use of the Infinite Wig B (unlocking infinite FC to allow unending Blade Mode or Ripper Mode) to cut down on the length of each battle. The strategies shown here can be performed without using the wig, though the fight will last longer.

Sundowner requires Raiden to be very good with the manual (right joystick, unless you flipped it) Blade Mode. When Sundowner deploys his shield, you need to go into Blade Mode and cut the row of red boxes without fail. Successfully parrying combos triggers the Blade Mode prompt.

If you miss, the shield panels explode and you take damage. To refill Raiden's Fuel Cells, you can try cutting down (Ninja Run and slash) the missiles fired at you by the boss' supporting Hammerheads.

Otherwise, be very quick about your slash motion, since leaving Raiden in Blade Mode will drain his fuel cells quickly. After Sundowner's shield is slain, use the light attack button or to fire the Slider's missiles through the Death Star trench. Finish the QTE and the boss will be slain.
