Good sales results in general and managed to achieve many good prices, for both buyers and seller. As a seller it is only fair to say everyone hopes for a fair bargain.
However I was promised that it would be possible to put a reserve at £100 on certain items and then this was disregarded.
Explanation offered was under auctioneers discretion to remove or not include requested reserve.
Two items for example that retail new at well over £300 which I wished to put a reserve of £100 were sold on for £50 less auction charges. come on.

Without doubt the most user friendly, intuitive on-line auction catalogue that I have ever used. Clear, concise , uncluttered with a rapidly scannable format - exactly as needed.
Other auctioneers should sit up and take note. On the whole, their glitzy, self important catalogues are nowhere near so user-friendly.
Signed up, verified address 2 times. Verified credit card 3 times. Then registered for a specific auction after every thing was looking good. Asked to register address and credit card for a 4th time.
After talking to them, I at least got my information accepted. Now I am ready for the next auction. If you have the same issues as others here, I suggest emailing them.
Your online auction site is probably the best I've used. Others more local to me, don't show as many photographs or don't give out as much detail as yours. I've never had any problems using or bidding or checking hammer prices on your site. This week, I bid £130 for an item at another militaria site and was informed that the hammer price was £110 so I was unsuccessful?? No decent reason given. I've never had anything like that from you and your staff have always been professional and helpful. Thank you.

Hassle free selling
We had a few violins and some bows to sell. A&G did a great job to advise, prepare for auction and sell, over 3 auctions. From our experience would definitely recommend,

I am not happy,
I am not happy,
lot 42 was knocked down to me at £220 and was shown as such on the laptop.
seconds later the bidding was at £250 and the page said ,you have been outbid. I did bid again and got the clock but it has cost me another £80
Surely the under bidder should have bid quicker and his bid not accepted after the hammer fell

No contact or aknowledgement
Sent details of 8 paintings by known artists for valuation with a view to placing them in the auction. I used their email contact/info prosoma about two weeks ago. No acknowledgement and no contact. All seems a bit unprofessional. I will give a more willingnhouse my business.

Even bank robbers wear masks
High percentage and terrible they don’t post, but source out to another 2nd party set of highway men!
Mine would fit in an envelope, but charged another ridiculous percentage for post.

publish your sale prices on at the saleroom cos i would bid on a lot of your stuff but your privacy raises a lot of suspicious activity as far as i can see... bidders like to see bidding history etc.....what are you trying to hide?? , 99% of auctions show realised prices etc..get with the times...

A&G live, Simply the best
I have in the past been physically present in an Anderson and Garland (A&G) auction, however I am not able to do so. When the need to Lockdown during the pandemic A&G setup an online bidding service (A&G live) and a handy Click&Collect service post payment of items won at auction. This has proved a winner for me. It is very user friendly, efficient and so trouble free I highly recommend it to anyone. You don't need a degree in computing to use it too. I am 63, if I can use it anyone can. Also, if you need help and advice the very friendly girls in Customer Care are just a telephone call away. Happy bidding everyone who uses their services.

Excellent!
I watched Anderson and Garland live for the first time yesterday and I was impressed. After viewing the catalogue and seeing how detailed the photographs were, I decided to bid live. The auctioneers give ample time for bidders and their commentary is clear and concise and quite positive actually, without it being typically stylised. I'd recommend, certainly.
