Booking by phone

Found the holiday on line and not in catalogue and booked the holiday by phone very easy caring
Staff who led me through booking with no problems received confirmation by email within couple of hours. So much easier than filling in forms online. Thankyou for stressless booking my holiday

First time with GRJ

We have never used GRJ before but we reviewed the brochure and chose a “trip” , then rang up to discuss our choice and options. We were helped tho the process and placed our order with the knowledgeable advisor Adele.

Happy so far but there's a little but.....

Booking my holiday to Catalonia by telephone was very straightforward and the consultant most helpful and courteous.
However, I thought the quoted return cost of a rail ticket from my home to St Pancras was a bit expensive, especially as timetables etc for October have not been released yet. An email from GRJs also had London Bridge as an arrival/departure station when Paddington is the normal one on my rail line. Not too impressed with this issue. Otherwise happy so far with my experience. This will be a first time holiday with GRJ.

Very efficient service

Very efficient service - received all information by email the same day I booked.
They have the facility to auto pay the balance of the holiday using the same credit card as you used for the deposit, which I thought was a great idea and means you don't have to remember when the balance is due. It also means that you don't have to ring them or do anything - they will do it automatically. Great!

Clear info professional and friendly staff.

The info on the web site was clear and engaging. I rang on three separate occasions, once before booking, once to book and once to add additional preferences. Each time the staff were friendly polite professional and not pushy.

Telephone Booking for Escorted Rail Journey to Switzerland

Phone answered straightaway and lady agent spoke clearly and answered any queries professionally. Confirmation was received later same day as she said and deposit and payment details explained and taken with no problems. Very quick, easy service with no waiting to be dealt with in a queue!

Everyone was helpful

Everyone was helpful, clear and friendly.

In the notes I have received you have a heading, WHY RAIL TRAVEL? The reasons you give are fine but I wonder if you might not add something about rail travel being so much better environmentally than flying. "On average, a train trip produces up to 96.5% fewer CO2 emissions than a comparable flight. For this reason, environmentally conscious travellers often choose trains over planes". This is important to me and may be to others.

Phone call answered promptly with concise information provided so that we were able to book our cruise on the Danube without delay.
Useful advice enabled us to select appropriate de luxe Suite.

Impressively priced river cruise backed up by superb service

After reading through piles of holiday brochures and spending hours researching customer comments I finally booked a Danube River Cruise with GRJ. The ship is similar to those used by other companies, as is the itinerary, but the price (especially for me as a single traveller) was much lower than GRJ's leading competitors. The on-line booking process was quick and efficient and the documentation which arrived shortly afterwards was comprehensive. I had one small query about the Eurostar departure time and on phoning my call was answered and dealt with quickly and efficiently by a friendly member of staff. All in all, I'm very impressed with GRJ!

Great Customer Service

We have only made the booking so far, for a trip next February. The customer service has been excellent with a very friendly lady on the phone answering all of our questions and giving us the confidence to book.

Difficulty booking

I tried to book on line, but could only redeem £100 voucher by calling. I did this and had to go through all the booking details again from the start. Wasted time. Then when I got the confirmation papers the £100 voucher had not been taken off the price. So I emailed about a week ago and haven't yet had a reply. Oh and then I got a prod to complete my online booking.
