United, let’s lead the Way
The United Way of Southwestern Indiana (UWSWI) exists to “unite resources to understand and address priority community issues.” This simple statement honors the agency’s 100-year-old identity as a “community chest” that raises and invests charitable dollars to support the upward mobility of local people —and reflects our growing role as a community catalyst for coordinated, data-informed actions to reduce poverty, increase racial equity, and build a collective trust.
