In this study, we investigate how much “entrepreneurship” Australian universities have helped create in this last decade (2014-23) versus the last (2004-13).

After adjusting for university size, the study finds UNSW to be the most entrepreneurial Australian university over the last decade (1st), followed closely by Bond University (2nd). Overall, the study finds Australia has doubled its rate of “entrepreneurship”, with twice as many funded founders and funded companies per 100k alumni in this decade than the last, suggesting that Australia receives a real and significant dividend when universities (big and small) back entrepreneurs.
