EYES ON THE FUTURE
100% of our products will use at least one environmentally preferred material by 2025. As of 2022, 100% of our shoeboxes and 75% of Caleres’ products have met this achievement.
LEADING THE PACK
We are an industry leader in responsible manufacturing through our work with Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA) to advance the use of environmentally preferred materials and reduce shoe waste.
LOWERING ENERGY USE
From our baseline in 2019 we saw a 18.8% energy reduction in Caleres owned retail stores and distribution centers going from 512,209 to 415,711 gigajules of energy.
Across our parent company’s portfolio of brands, Caleres feels passionately that how we do
business is as important as how much business we do.
Our long-standing pledge to quality craftsmanship includes creating sustainable and lasting
value for all our stakeholders. What it really comes down to is caring—caring about people,
ethics and integrity, and our shared planet. Caring is so integral to our business that we
champion it as one of our core company values.
The Caleres story is most simply defined by the company’s mission: Inspire people to feel great
… feet first.

STEP UP FOR THE EARTH
The One Planet Standard is a designation we give only to shoes that meet or exceed 51% on our
Sustainable Footwear Index. We developed this standard to be comprehensive and consider the
sustainability of a product across its entire lifecycle including these six key pillars: sample
reduction, materials, packaging, supplier ESG initiatives, brand philanthropy,
and end-of-life solutions.
