Although I have already described memories of my work in psychiatry in music several times, memories of my work there came back to me during the production of this album. This time I remembered the night shifts I did during that time. I remembered the way from home to work, arriving at the ward when the patients were already asleep, how focused I was on my routine work in the first hours of the night shift, the hourly rounds on the ward, how at a certain point in the night I was overcome by tiredness, when I felt the high release of melatonin in the night, the short dreams during microsleep, until the moment when I stood at the open window in the very early morning, especially in summer, and could experience the blue hour, which was then a sign that the long night was soon over. I remember the drive home, the tiredness that overcame me and falling into a deep sleep in my bed. I tried to illustrate all of this with my music.
At times I also listened to music during those long nights, feeling that ambient music can be a great companion during night shifts, providing a calming and focused atmosphere.
