Prologue
If you're reading this, hopefully you've read the first volume. This is a second song uncovered in the ruins of Iria. I hope you're enjoying this music from a different time!
(This song in particular is something of a mystery. Who or what is Scathach? What significance did it have to the ancient people? Is it connected to Scathach Beach? That seems unlikely. Personally, I think it's all a big coincidence.)
Untitled
Her wooden vessel cut through my roiling skin, And Scathach witnessed my majesty In the soaring water drops.
By the time she reached the great rock, The stony blemish upon my face, Mine frozen heart had melted.
Scathach looked down upon me from the prow, And I to her from my unfathomable depths, And from my great waves, And we shared in the joy and glory of my sea.

And so I watched, And in this frail mortal form I see My only respite, her eyes that set the oceans ablaze.
And where're that gaze falls, The steeds of Maponos surge, And mine children pour out like thunder.
The sparking surface upon which she floats, The powerful wings that flow through her hair, The breaking waves that greet her steps--
This is my sea, my home, my body.
Though she be a creature of the land, Her beauty rivals that of my deepest depths. Unseen, unbidden, she shall come to me And bend to my wind, else…
(…)
O'er the sand, o'er the rocks, The vessel of wood shall swim over hills. She sails upon the jungles and forests of the land.
I show her wonders, and she is speechless, Overcome by the exotic smells and marvelous sights,
A never ending forest for us to share.
Oh Scathach, I…
(The ink is too smudged to read beyond this point.)
