URL format

[edit]

Hi Infrastruktur, Robertsilen, I noticed that the URL works fine with just the numbers (e.g. 19896). You can write anything after the slash, it will always direct you to the right page. Should we go and remove the non-number parts of the identifiers? If we add the following {{Autofix}} it will instruct KrBot to do the change automatically.

{{Autofix|pattern=<nowiki>([0-9]+)\/.*</nowiki>|replacement=\1}}

What do you think? Samoasambia 10:20, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There doesn't seem to be any wikis subscribing to this property so I have no objections. The property will have to be updated, so ping me when Robertsilen replies. Infrastruktur (talk) 16:55, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Samoasambia @Infrastruktur, yes, the URLs work with only the numeric ID. I originally entered the P11123 FHO-values in wikidata with the non-number part, as it makes the maintenance and matching of FHO-words with Wikidata Q-items easier - see this query how labels and FHO-URLs match. I still see the benefit of that (even more now after 2 years since doing the matching efforts), but I'm also not opposed to deleting them. Robert (talk) 11:59, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
