Finding the user ID on Twitter's new redesign

Inspect the profile's page and then inspect the follow button on the profile's description. there should be a data-testid="<number>-follow" with <number> being the user ID. The header image still contains the user ID. — Jeluang Terluang (talk) 09:26, 23 July 2019 (UTC)

I know of third party sites that can get the user ID. I just meant how to get the IDs themselves without using third party sites. But that is one of the many others that can help other users to find them. – Jeluang Terluang (talk) 10:25, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

Qualifier for X username (P2002)?

I wonder if we shouldn't simply use this as a qualifier of X username (P2002). I suppose it doesn't matter when the name is stable and there is just one account.

• For accounts that changed names, it can be an easy way to identify them: see Property_talk:P2002#Renamed_accounts?
• Also, items such as Wikidata (Q2013) that have multiple accounts: Q2013#P2002 and Q2013#P6552 could benefit from the two identifiers being linked explicitly. --- Jura 15:49, 8 August 2019 (UTC)

Changed formatter URL

Hi! In this edit I changed the value of formatter URL (P1630) on this. The previous value was:

https://twitter.com/intent/user?user_id=$1

but with tracking protection settings and some cookies blocked in Firefox on my computer, this never redirects. However, what I changed it to:

https://twitter.com/i/user/$1

A quick video tutorial

Hi. For anyone interested, I just created a short video tutorial (on the right) on how to find a numeric ID using the "Report an ussue" method. I also updated the instructions here.

For those who, in addition to the numerical identifier, want to know the exact date of creation of the Twitter account, there is a website where this information is provided.
