- Comment I've always understood "phenology" to refer to the timing of recurring biological events, such as when plants flower, produce seeds, die, etc. I'm not sure that "phenological features" with the limited values that you have listed here is the correct label for this property. What you are describing here is perhaps better labelled "foliage characteristic" or "foliage type." For example, see https://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/31538, where the fact that it is deciduous is labeled just "Foliage:". At http://navigate.botanicgardens.org/weboi/oecgi2.exe/INET_ECM_DispPl?NAMENUM=13514, this information is labelled "leaf type". - I agree with your arguments. In general, I like how the key signs of plants are organized on the site Plantarium (Q59786454).
