Motivation
[edit]The color produced by a dye is often different from the color of the dye itself. Many dyes can produce a range of colors depending on the environment (acid or alkaline) and the type of mordant used. The qualifier together with (P1706) will be important for both traditional dye combinations (weld and woad for Lincoln green) and for colors that require mordants (browns from madder with iron).
Note, color (P462) should be used for pigments. - PKM (talk) 22:03, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
