Samsung Internet is a Chromium-based web browser for Android smartphones developed by Samsung Electronics. It was first released in 2012 as a basic mobile browser for Samsung Galaxy devices.[1][2]
Samsung estimated that it had around 400 million monthly active users in 2016. According to StatCounter, it had a market share of around 4% of mobile devices in October 2024, having peaked at 7% in 2019.[3]
In November 2023, Samsung Internet was released for Microsoft Windows via the Microsoft Store before being inexplicably removed in January 2024.[4]
