The result of the move request was: NO CONSENSUS.Let the airs of recentism reduce a bit before any re-consideration.(non-admin closure) Winged Blades Godric 05:34, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
Bill Shine → Bill Shine (actor) – The Fox News co-prez who was fired today could be considered the primary topic. The top exec's Wikipedia article was created Friday, so there aren't reliable page view states to compare. The actor's page should be dabbed in the meantime. - Oppose, for now. Let's wait for the dust to settle. When it does, the current configuration is likely to be fine. --В²C ☎ 00:50, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. No clear primary topic. Pure recentism. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:22, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
- Comment: Wouldn't "No clear primary topic" be an argument in favor of this move? —BarrelProof (talk) 03:24, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
- Only if there was also a proposal to create a disambiguation page! Since there wasn't, there's no reason to move this article. -- Necrothesp (talk) 08:40, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
- A dab page needs no mentioning. Yes, there would be a dab page. Mark Schierbecker (talk) 12:51, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, it does. Standard procedure in RMs. But, to be honest, I still think the actor trumps a bloke who's only become known because of a very recent situation. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:23, 8 May 2017 (UTC)

- Support: As Necrothesp said, "No clear primary topic". The actor is rather obscure, and probably a high percentage of the page views this article has been getting – even before the recent news spike – have been from people looking for the other Bill Shine. (Aside from a strange spike in August 2016, the article's average page views per day last year and the year before that was around 11 or 12 – was there some news about one of the Bill Shines in August of last year?) "Bill Shine" should be converted into a dab page. —BarrelProof (talk) 16:42, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
- Support, with creation of a disambiguation page. With a daily average of about 20 views before two weeks ago, this page isn't really a clear primary topic. kennethaw88 • talk 03:35, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose as plan and simple WP:RECENTISM. Don't think about what news hits you are getting now, think about what you might get in 10, 20, 50 years' time - that'll be your answer. Second choice would be the dab page - remember that editors outside the US may not be familiar with political reporters there. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:58, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- Support - of *course he's the primary topic. Reminds me of last year's switcheroo at Oliver Burke. Unreal7 (talk) 14:58, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
- There's absolutely no "of course" about it. It's pure recentism. Neither are especially well-known, but the actor probably has more long-term significance. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:18, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose - wp:recentism. let the dust settle for a few months -- Aunva6talk - contribs 02:41, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Consensus to move, therefore, moved. (closed by non-admin page mover) Dreamy Jazz 🎷 talk to me | my contributions 11:35, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
– The actor experienced a spike in views last year when viewers thought he was the Fox News executive. The latter now has a job in the White House and will only continue to gain more traffic.[1] Unreal7 (talk) 07:48, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support, clear primary topic. A dab page at the base term would also be better than the current situation, but that's not my first choice. —Xezbeth (talk) 12:34, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support the move to Bill Shine (actor) per nom and the prior discussion. The actor doesn't seem that highly notable. No opinion on whether the television executive should be considered primary. —BarrelProof (talk) 19:54, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Page views show the exec gets over 10x the views as does the actor. --В²C ☎ 23:28, 1 October 2018 (UTC)
