Off the Grid
[edit]I heard from the LATOC website that Crawford Ranch is entirely energy independent and is not connected to the power grid. Can anyone verify this? Creationlaw (talk) 03:45, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- One site put some data on that up, both for the purposes of comparing it to Al Gore's mansion. Link at: http://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/house.asp —Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.97.67.91 (talk) 18:22, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Uncited Claim
[edit]This claim should have citations, otherwise it's just a Wikipedian's opinion.
"President Bush is frequently criticized for spending so much time away from the White House, especially (particularly retrospectively) for the amount of time spent there during the spring and summer of 2001, prior to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks."
Especially the statement, "frequently," demands multiple citations supporting this statement. Wiki publius 00:58, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Dignitaries list out of date
[edit]The dignitaries list cuts off in August 2005. Such a list is difficult to maintain unless somebody is actively monitoring this page and the page has been edited much less than I expected. My inclination is to nuke the section (placing it here for safekeeping in case somebody wants to update and put it back). Americasroof 01:25, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
merge proposal
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.
The result of this proposal was no merge. Happyme22 (talk) 23:39, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
I believe Western White House and this article have considerable overlap and are not overlong and so should be merged. Any input welcome, unless it's a simple "oppose". This is not a vote, but a discussion, and only rational arguments will count. (Saying because of bad experiences with this sort of thing.) user:Everyme 07:21, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Speedy Oppose - There have been western white houses under LBJ, Reagan and Bush. The Western White House article as written is currently very poor as it focuses on Crawford. And if the article was properly written, there Andrew Jackson's home was a western white house and for that matter even Harry Truman's home was called the western white house. I'm sure that if John McCain were elected his residence in Arizona would be called such. Americasroof (talk) 07:27, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- Good point. The scope of the WWH article should be widened then. Until that time, there is no reason to have a separate article. user:Everyme 07:41, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
MUFON has released its report about a UFO that has flown over this area. 65.173.104.138 (talk) 02:00, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
- This thing scared the hell out of President Bush.65.173.104.138 (talk) 02:01, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
- Found and placed source about that UFO. Powerzilla (talk) 21:26, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
