- Wow. You surprised me. Haha..yes, that's exactly what I meant. Now, I'll ask a very classic question:
- Which edits you have made in Wikipedia that you are most proud of, and why? --Zacharycrimsonwolf 13:14, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
The ones that I like the most would have to be the small ones, like fixing the pronunciation or spelling of a word or adding something that was overlooked. I think that it helps make Wikipedia a more enjoyable place to search. --PolarWolf 01:30, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I agree with you on that. However, perhaps you might want to stick on an article and try to improve it as much as you can. It'll help you get some experience about editing and such. You don't have to do it alone; you can work in a group. Find something like Wikipedia:Wikiprojects or Wikipedia:Portals. Take it easy, don't overload yourself; a sentence at a time helps a lot, even if you add only one every week. By the time you managed to bring it up to a good article or even a featured one, you'll be one great editor.
- Besides that, you should also try to broaden your field in Wikipedia. Other than editing articles, you can try patrolling new pages to check for vandalism. Or you can check the recent changes to counter vandalism; the choice is yours. Basically, you can get a lot to do in Wikipedia, editing backlogs (articles which are ;eft alone for a long time) to cleaning up (minor edits like spelling errors, the one you're doing) or fighting vandalism. By the way, if you didn't know yet, the random edit button on the left of your screen is a good way to find backlogs and articles that need clean-ups. --Zacharycrimsonwolf 12:53, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Okay, I'll try and do more of those- I also add a sentence or so to some articles that I find, but I'll try and do it more often now. Also, I'll try out the random article button. Thanks for the advice :) --PolarWolf ( sign ) 23:27, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- I just created this article- Tell me what you think about it --PolarWolf ( sign ) 02:47, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- Its fine, wonderful even; but you missed out on something. Give a summary on the novel at the start of the page. I know that you're probably thinking that its already done at the main page but it doesn't hurt to put it there. Check out Lord of the Rings if you want a good example. --Zacharycrimsonwolf 13:48, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
