Information icon Hello, I'm Apaugasma. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Rashidun Caliphate, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 08:47, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Black Standard, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 10:50, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Rashidun Caliphate. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Please consult the sources before you change anything to any article. Thanks, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 14:31, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bro, Accept the Truth. Hasan Wasn't Killed. Allright, Where you found the source says hasan was killed? Fazoffic (talk) 23:10, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Fazoffic, I just added it to the article: https://www.iranicaonline.org/articles/hasan-b-ali (the entry for Hasan ibn Ali in Encyclopædia Iranica, a very reliable source). It says that Ḥasan died, according to the most reliable reports, on 5 Rabiʿ I 50/2 April 670 (Ebn Saʿd, p. 91). The early sources are nearly unanimous that he was poisoned. Again, please do not change articles purely on the basis of something you merely think you know: it's imperative that you always check reliable sources first to be sure that you're correct, and only then edit an article, citing the source you've been reading when applicable. Thanks, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 00:26, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Alright Apaugasma, I believe. But can you change the text "Hasan was Assassinated" to "Hasan Died of Poisoning"?. because Everyone's View About "Killed" is different. I'm afraid that there will be people who don't know and think that Hasan was killed using a sharp weapon. I hope this improvement will be useful so that there are no more misunderstandings between us, especially other Muslims.
Thank You Fazoffic (talk) 04:53, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, no. The source says: he was poisoined. That means someone poisoned him. If we would say he died of poisoning, it would seem as if it were possible that the poisoning was an accident. But it was not an accident: Hasan was willfully assassinated by someone, just like Umar, Uthman, and Ali before him. That is what reliable sources say, and it is our core duty as Wikipedians to faithfully and neutrally convey the point of view of reliable sources. If for some reason the point of view taken by reliable sources makes you feel uncomfortable, or you find it immoral or plainly impossible to neutrally report what they are saying, I strongly advise you to simply edit on some other topic on which you do not have such strong feelings. It's understandable in view of the impact this topic may have on the relations between Muslims, as well as between Muslims and non-Muslims, but on Wikipedia, trying to right great wrongs will only get you in trouble. Thanks for taking this into consideration, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 09:41, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Apaugasma. I discussed this with our crew and we agreed to change "Hasan Was Assasinated" to "Hasan Then Dies". We also contacted several parties from Medina Islamic University and they said that your references may be trustworthy.
I Also Add More Information About Hasan based on [Al Bidayah wan Nihayah], [Musnad Ahmad, No. 18406], and other Citations.
Thank you Fazoffic (talk) 03:34, 21 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again Fazoffic. If you want to change something to Wikipedia, you need to discuss this with other editors, not with anyone else. For our purposes, what your crew thinks or the people you know at Medina Islamic University is wholly irrelevant: the onus is on you to convince other Wikipedians of your proposed changes. Repeatedly restoring or inserting your preferred version against consensus is called edit warring, which is not acceptable.
If you continue like this, you will get blocked from editing. Please get consensus for your proposed changes at the talk pages of the respective articles, Talk:Rashidun Caliphate and Talk:Hasan ibn Ali. Please also read the policy pages to which I've linked in my messages here to you (most blue links). Thanks, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 08:44, 21 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable non-free use File:Al-zaytun-stadion-palagan-agung.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Al-zaytun-stadion-palagan-agung.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 13:29, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Majapahit

[edit]

Hello @Fazoffic. As you may know, I had some concerns with the recent edits you made to Majapahit. I don’t believe you intended to harm the page, but I feel that some aspects of the revision might have affected the article negatively (I can explain my reasoning further if you’d like). I realize that undoing all of your changes without offering much explanation was a mistake, and I apologize for that.

What I’d like to propose now is to return most of the page to the previous version while still keeping the infobox shortened as you suggested. I’d also make some slight changes to the current infobox to better align with historical sources. Would you be okay with that, or is there anything you disagree with? I’m more than happy to hear your thoughts and suggestions. Miserableed (talk) 03:48, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, @Miserableed: Actually, I just tried to simplify the info box which might discuss a lot of unimportant things, I did this according to MOS:INFOBOX, as I have explained in Special:Diff/1259110784.
Besides the infobox, I made some changes to the opening paragraph, where the first paragraph was too long and could actually be split into two, adding some introductory information that readers might need. Maybe there is something wrong, or do you want to correct me? I don't mind, because the main purpose of the editing I did was to edit the infobox, and I didn't make any other major edits at all. ▪︎ Fazoffic ( ʖ╎ᓵᔑ∷ᔑ) 04:03, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I can see why you adjusted the opening paragraph, but the sentence you added at the end (“This empire was the last Hindu-Buddhist...”) feels a bit awkwardly worded, especially considering the fact that Majapahit was one of the last Hindu-Buddhist empire had already been explained in the third paragraph. it also took away the main significance of Majapahit: that it was an empire stretching from Sumatra to New Guinea. The former first paragraph, although longer, had elaborated on this in a clear way with citations to support it. I think it would be better if we kept the original opening paragraph and only change the infobox instead. What do you think, @Fazoffic? Miserableed (talk) 04:41, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Miserableed: Yup, that's probably the main problem. Actually, I'm still looking for supporting sources myself and doubt whether the claim is true or not. So, if you're willing, I can change it to something much better:
"... which was founded in 1293. After going through a military expansion that led to its glory, the empire fell into a civil war that weakened it and eventually collapsed in 1527 due to an invasion by the Demak Sultanate. The collapse of this empire marked the beginning of the era of Islamic kingdoms in the Nusantara archipelago."
What do you think? ▪︎ Fazoffic ( ʖ╎ᓵᔑ∷ᔑ) 04:56, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think I prefer that we keep the original opening paragraph instead. As I mentioned earlier, it’s important to highlight Majapahit’s significance as an empire with tributaries extending from Sumatra to New Guinea. How about if I make the edits right now, and maybe you can share your thoughts afterward? I hope you don't mind that most of it would be similar to the previous version. I appreciate you for taking the time to discuss this with me, by the way. Miserableed (talk) 05:40, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have summarized the opening sentence. There may be some repetition in the following paragraphs. However, if we can adjust the paragraphs after that, then I think this problem can be solved. ▪︎ Fazoffic ( ʖ╎ᓵᔑ∷ᔑ) 06:54, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I was waiting for your reply. I think your current summary is an improvement over the previous one (although it might need a few citations). I’d like to refine the grammar in your revision and also suggest removing Patih Udara from the list of maharajas. According to Tomé Pires' account in Suma Oriental during his visit to Java in 1513, the king at that time was Bhaṭāra Vijaya (written as Batara Vojyaya). Udara, who was his prime minister and father-in-law, managed much of the ruling, but he was never officially a king. Other than that problem, I don't see any issues in your revision. I hope this means we've reached a good conclusion together. Thank you again for your cooperation. Miserableed (talk) 08:35, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I will make some other minor corrections and fixes as per your suggestion, as for the grammar fixes I will leave it to you. Thanks for your cooperation! ▪︎ Fazoffic ( ʖ╎ᓵᔑ∷ᔑ) 08:39, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
