Category for creation
Hi, it looks as if you provided a mistaken link when you replied at WT:Articles for creation/Category federation architecture. I'm not sure whether there is a better page to recommend, but WP:AFC/R doesn't seem to meet the need.
The editor created Category:Federation Architecture, which has since been salvaged as a list (section of main article) and a category. – Fayenatic London 22:36, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

I went to create a new article the other day and see that you had previously reviewed one on the same person at AfC HERE. Just thought that you would like to take a look at it before I move it to the main space. I was actually able to use quite a bit of the information from the submitted article which saved me some time. The new one is in my sandbox HERE. I will be adding some additional information over the next day or so but thought you would like to see the difference from what was submitted and what I actually did to the article. --Morning277 (talk) 12:48, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

HMS Triumph
Apologies if my edit was not marked correctly.
I was reading the page (following a doc on TV about its sinking during the Ottoman campaign) and noticed that the link from the text "Krupp cemented armour" (KCA) to go to the Wiki page on "Krupp cemented armour" - does not go to the page on that subject *despite that it exists*, but to another page - on "Krupp armour". I simply corrected the anomoly for the benefit of other users of Wikipedia.
I see you or someone has now re-introduced the anomoly without first investigating the reasons for the edit.
I love how some people decide how correct information is referred to a test or vandalism - I thought the idea of Wikipedia was to be free of oppressive "governments" from adding their own spin to what is right and what is wrong, but apparently not.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.249.206.245 (talk) 15:32, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Tom Wainwright
Please explain why you have reversed the edits made to the article on Tom Wainwright by my father. [[1]] Tom was my great grandfather. He was born in 1866 in Hatton, Derbyshire (ref: UK government census in 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901, 1911. Birth was registered in 1866 in Tutbury registration district which you can verify through http://www.staffordshirebmd.org.uk ) He died on 10 Nov 1934 (ref family records and probate registry index). If the dates and place of birth came from the source cited then that source is wrong! Surely the evidence of his family who knew him, and government records carry more weight?!

I think that you made a mistake. The edits on Mike Schwartz's sandbox are a problem. That person grabbed content from Simson Garfinkel's home page and put it in his sandbox. The problem is that web searches for "Simson Garfinkel" are retrieving the sandbox, and not Simson Garfinkel's wikipedia page. This makes no sense at all. Mike Schwartz was doing some kind of experiment. But that experiment is over now and it serves no benefit to Wikipedia to keep the out-of-date information in place. I put in an edit that redirected the sandbox to the proper location, which handles the google problem. You undid it. Please put it back. 69.143.180.9 (talk) 03:28, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

restrict redirection of parori
yes, i removed the redirection of parori to zeygolatio, because this is not true.
Parori belongs to the voiotias perfecture and has no relationship with Parori(a) referred to Zevgolatio.
This has resulted to refered in facebook and in other social networks like it belongs to voiotia with the correct coordinates and have the description of the Zevgolatio. no relationship.
in greece there are 3-5 places named paror-(something)
in viotias perfecture , parori or parorio in arcadias perfecture , paroria or paroreio in Laconias perfecture , paroreio or parorio and in Florinas perfecture , paroreio
in greek language the diphthong vowel (ei) simulated with (i) , all these names written with (ei) except parori voiotias.
if you write in goggle maps the word "Parori" the only named place is parori viotias , if you write "Parorio" or "paroreio" you should have multiple choices.
you can see the details in greek wiki http://el.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CE%A0%CE%B1%CF%81%CF%8C%CF%81%CE%B9 and http://el.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CE%A0%CE%B1%CF%81%CF%8C%CF%81%CE%B9_%CE%92%CE%BF%CE%B9%CF%89%CF%84%CE%AF%CE%B1%CF%82
here are the wiki links of settlements in greek prefectures
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_settlements_in_Boeotia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_settlements_in_Laconia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_settlements_in_Arcadia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_settlements_in_the_Florina_regional_unit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_settlements_in_the_Grevena_regional_unit
the name 'parori' is in Boeotia only.
if you have the authority or the prevalence, please fix those changes.
even the name 'Boeotia' i am not sure if is the real name, because everywhere written "viotia" , in google maps too. but for that im not sure, because i m not a philologist.
i dont know if there are the possibility to make alias or something else ...
i hope to have convinced you :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.130.23.32 (talk) 01:35, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

We are trying to edit our entry in Wikipedia and you have reverted the page, how do we prevent this.

- Take a look at WP:COI and WP:PLAINSIMPLECOI which explains all about editing with a conflict of interest and also WP:COPY which explains about copyrights.
- Alot of the text you used was a copy/paste from the school website which has a copyright note at the bottom of the page, and was extremely 'promotional' about the school. All content needs to be nuetral and supported by reliable third party references. - Happysailor (Talk) 12:42, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

A1 and A3 tags
Hi HappySailor, I saw you tagged Adin hebat as A1 in the same moment as it was created. Would you mind being a bit less hasty with A1 tags? Like A3 they are best not administered to articles in the first few minutes of creation, aside from the problem that some people build articles in a series of incremental edits there is a risk that goodfaith editors whose work is tagged too quickly will feel bitten and stop editing. Cheers and happy editing. ϢereSpielChequers 13:54, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello Happysailor. My name is Jon. I'm the director of cardiffbay.co.uk I would like to bring to your attention that this site is appropriate for Wikipedia. It has been on Wikipedia before and for a long time. It's content is purely for information purposes for our visitors. The site has over 34,000 visitors per month so that in itself shows that it is used and is very popular. Cardiff Harbour is showing on Wikipedia and our site has been around for allot longer and gives more information. Can you explain please why you find it to be inappropriate, when Cardiff harbour website is on there? It is also worth noting that cardiffbay.co.uk has an exact number of visits per month of 34,904 and Cardiffhabour.com has only 2078. I feel that there are undercurrents of both parties trying to sabotage the integrity of cardiffbay.co.uk Our site is very popular and does not need to be strengthened by its presence on Wikipedia but morally, it should be on there. We have other popular domain names that supply relevant information to visitors, currently on Wikipedia. I look forward to hearing from you. - Hi Jon, The number of visits per month has nothing do do with what links get included in Wikipedia. The Harbour Website you mention is the government website for the managing authority of the bay, while yours (which has been removed on multiple occations from this article for spam, Conflict of Interest and advertising and which an account has already been blocked for this) seems to be a privately run commercial website not affiliated with either the Harbour Authority, the Council or even the Waterfront Partners (who have their own websites). I suggest you read WP:ELNO - Happysailor (Talk) 18:07, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- The cardiffbay.co.uk website has been on Wikipedia since 2007
- The Cardiff harbour site is a government website and we supply them emails that come into cardiffbay.co.uk to (Redacted)
- The water front partnership website has limited information and we, Cardiff Bay are a commercial site that supply updated information un like visitcardiffbay.info which has only limited information about who is at Cardiff bay which is misleading and out of date
- We place ads on the cardiffbay.co.uk site to cover the time and costs that we spend on the site. There are many other sites linked on Wikipedia that are also commercial sites that have advertising on their sites
- walesonline.co.uk is one of them
- I think you have been told by someone from either Cardiff harbour or water front partners that we are not official when we are - Commercial or not.
- I look forward to your response.
- Jon — Preceding unsigned comment added by 32bar (talk • contribs) 19:33, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- ok, ill answer these point by point:
- The external link to your site was removed from Wikipedia's Cardiff Bay article in May 2007 due to link-spam, in which an editor, User:Cardiffbayhostmaster (Was this you?), was blocked indefinitely from editing here for continuously breaking the rules. It hasn't been present since then.
- The fact you forward emails has nothing to do with this issue (I have also redacted the email so that person doesn't start getting spam)
- Where have I said that this is because you have adverts on your site? Also, Walesonline is a media outlet, like the BBC or the Guardian, so to compare yourselves to them is odd.
- The word official is interesting, how are you the official website of cardiff bay? The word usually signifies that you are the company/person responsible for Cardiff Bay (and that cardiffbay.co.uk is the official website of that company/person), when your not.
- I'm waiting on comments from others atm so we'll see. - Happysailor (Talk) 21:14, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- You haven't answered all my questions and yes I also await others comments. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 32bar (talk • contribs) 21:33, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- First, please stop creating new sections.
- Secondly, the only question you've actually asked, was answered in my original response. If your talking about the comment you made regarding being in contact with Cardiff Harbour or Waterfront Partners, I ignored it because your obviously grasping at straws (especially since it's Saturday). - Happysailor (Talk) 21:48, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- You haven't answered all my questions and yes I also await others comments. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 32bar (talk • contribs) 21:33, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- ok, ill answer these point by point:
Its clear to me that Wikipedia moderators haven't a clue about our home town, of which I have been born & bred in. The information on the wikipedia cardiff bay page is wrong! As for it being a Saturday, what's that got to do with anything? Clutching at straws? How rude. It is worth noting that it was YOU that mentioned waterfront partnerships and not me, so if you are not in contact with them, then how on earth (especially given that you are based in DALLAS!) would you even know of their existence?? I think you should stick to being a comedian because your making me laugh mate!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 32bar (talk • contribs) 22:09, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the laugh, wasn't sure i'd laugh that hard today since we lost...
- So you now say that the Cardiff Bay page is wrong, why? because your website was removed from it? Yes I mentioned the waterfront partners, their logo appears on the 'official' visitcardiffbay website, which I found by following the usual official format of pages (visitwales, visitcardiff, visitcardiffbay). Not sure why you think I'm in Dallas (yet another assumption)
- and with that, I'm closing this as it's going nowhere. - Happysailor (Talk) 22:31, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

Stockholm entry
Hello,
I only added a missing sign (|) to the Stockholm entry, so that the climate section wouldn't look like a complete mess (please take a look at it). Some anonymous user has been messing with climate sections in several entries (Stockholm, Portland OR) and I thought something should be done about it.
Traforad (talk) 15:03, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- While that may have been your intention, you actually removed the climate chart from the article. I have added the missing '|' into the climate data for you. Re: Removing Speedy at Shanzaihou Military Housing Complex
The valid reason for the removal have given in the talk page.---Howard61313 (talk) 17:20, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- and I have replied. That is not a valid reason. page moves should be done as per WP:MOVE - Happysailor (Talk) 17:22, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- The name "Shanzaihou Military Housing Complex" was used for the Military Housing anyway, it's the truth on history. If a redirection is not allowed, no other ways I know at this moment. Any OTHER suggestion?---Howard61313 (talk) 17:23, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- Have you read what I posted both here, the article's talk page and on your talk page? If it's the correct title, then the page can be moved to the title, however this should be done correctly, not by taking the contents of the original article and starting a new one with it, then redirecting the original which is what you did.
- The only way for the article to be moved now is for the new article you created to be deleted to make way for the original article to be moved to the correct title. I really suggest you read WP:MOVE#How_to_move_a_page - Happysailor (Talk) 17:35, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- All right. So my mistake is the way I redirect them? What about redirecting "Shanzaihou Military Housing Complex" to "Yangmingshan American Military Housing"? Is there anything I can do to make it correct? (Sorry about the poor ability I understanding English....not a native user) --Howard61313 (talk) 17:38, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- No, the mistake was the way you tried to move the page. I'm assuming that Shanzaihou Military Housing Complex is meant to be the correct name? If so, then it has to be deleted before you can move the page using the move page feature of wikipedia (as per my above link). If it's not the correct title, and Yangmingshan American Military Housing is correct, then I'll remove the deletion tag off the complex article - Happysailor (Talk) 17:48, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
