Thank you for your share in the article, introduced: "This article was first FAC nominated by Therapyisgood last year, who withdrew it, but with their blessing, I and Jens have since worked on it because it was a shame to let the good work go to waste."! -- (forgot to sign) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:28, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Happy whatever you celebrate today, - more who died, more to come, and they made the world richer. Greetings from Madrid where I took the pic of assorted Cucurbita in 2016. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:45, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Quick note

[edit]

Hi! Thanks for your reviews thus far in the GA backlog drive. I'm one of the coordinators for the drive. I just looked over your review for Roccellaceae. I awarded full points, but wanted to mention that I didn't see anything about spot-checking the sources to verify that they were reflected accurately. Most of your comments were on prose and using clear language. Even if the sources are all reliable scientific articles, it's worth checking a few to ensure they are being reflected accurately (it's also a good chance to check on copyvio issues). You may have done this and simply not mentioned it, of course -- so please add a mention in your next GA review if you haven't already. On the whole it was a good review of a good article, but I wanted to bring this up for future reviews. Happy editing! —Ganesha811 (talk) 13:42, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note. Yeah, that's very easy to forget – I will add a mention on sources in the future. Thanks for coordinating! --Jens Lallensack (talk) 14:39, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You

Looking for advice

[edit]

Hey Jens! 😊 Thanks again for reviewing my article on the Diaspora Revolt and giving it GA status! It just went live on DYK today. When you wrapped up the review, you recommended considering nominating it for Featured Article status. Since I'm new to that process, could you share any tips? For example, how do I know if a peer review is needed beforehand? Thanks again! Mariamnei (talk) 05:59, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! The only (minor) issue I can see at the moment are references in the lead (everything is supposed to be repeated, and sourced, in the main text anyways, so we don't usually have references in the lead, but some exceptions might apply). I personally think you should send it straight to WP:FAC. However, I am not an expert on the topic – maybe we can ask UndercoverClassicist if they see any showstoppers at first glance? --Jens Lallensack (talk) 22:46, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Mariamnei and Jens Lallensack: I have replied on the article's Talk page, to avoid cluttering this one up. UndercoverClassicist T·C 07:34, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
