I'm not convinced that this person in any way meets Wikipedia's notability criteria for academics. Their most well-known book (according to the article and the only cited reference, a brief obituary) is in quite a few libraries (but whether it's a high number for a book like this, I can't say) ... but I can't find any significant coverage of this book anywhere. I can't find any exceptional coverage of his death (this doesn't count). Also, the article contains details that are not normally considered at all encyclopedic (e.g. his feelings about a rugby match), leading me to believe that the author may have a conflict of interest. Wikipedia is not a memorial. Graham87 08:04, 7 April 2023 (UTC)

- Delete I don't find anything to support this person's notability. In terms of NACADEMIC he fails on searches of "Martin Bucky" and "Martin Wildred Buckey". No indication that he meets the criteria. Lamona (talk) 01:31, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- Delete - Per above, cannot find sources for notability, only small death notices, nor is the article in a salvageable state. DankJae 01:52, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
