Supporting evidence:

PoliticianTexas's last socks were blocked on 9 August. User:Dowhatyoudo was created on 18 August. Since then, he's made the same sort of disruptive edits. In particular, he's uploaded numerous images where he claimed that he had taken the photo, but which were later found on copyrighted sites. And like last time, I suspect that there's more than just this one sock, so I'd appreciate any further research that can be done.

Supporting evidence:

Earlier today, Brandynman wrote this at User talk:Uncia:

I created the table, and that whole section! back when i had my previous account.. south valley has the population to be on the table..i just forgot to add it. I used to make most the edits on the new mexico page.., i think i know what i'm doing.. you need to stop with your "talk about it in the discussion page", thats not the way the editors do things around here.

Given that this account was created 6 August 2008, the phrase "back when i had my previous account" raised red flags. I looked up who had created that table, and found it was initially created (see here) by Martinez07, a known sockpuppet of PoliticianTexas.

If he's admitted it himself, that makes things easy, yes?

OTOH, I'd appreciate the checkuser in general, because I suspect that there might be a few more socks lurking as well.

Note: Brandynman just put this on my talk page:

I'm trying to start off fresh, So Just let me try, i make lots of great edits to wikipedia and i think its only right to let me stay! Well have a good day :)

I can't say that I think as highly of Brandynman's contributions as he does (or at least not until he learns something about Edit summary and Show preview). And given that he was offered (and did not accept) a {{second chance}} by Tiptoety, I don't see a reason to make an exception in this case.

The following are  Confirmed as unblocked socks of PoliticianTexas:

The following are  Confirmed as socks of Brandynman

It is highly  Likely, taking the CU evidence alone, that Brandynman is PoliticianTexas. Per the above evidence, it is quite obvious that they are the same.

Supporting evidence:

On 12 June, Diamond Joe Quimby was accused of being a sockpuppeteer.

On 16 June, he changed his username to PoliticianTexas. Some, but not all, of PoliticianTexas's socks were blocked. These socks (along with the puppeteer account) were indefinitely blocked:

The socks I listed above, though, were not.

If all these accounts could be checked, and the ones that are socks blocked, that would be great. But primarily, Martinez07 is still actively editing, and although he claims that he's not a sock of PoliticianTexas, there's too much overlap between his account and the others to be likely. A checkuser would help to clear this up. Dori (TalkContribs) 01:18, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk note: Blocked and tagged all. RlevseTalk 01:05, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Given both his editing style and editing focus, it's obvious that it's the same guy--but it doesn't seem like he's getting the hint. Time to block a few IPs maybe? Dori (TalkContribs) 04:14, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And he's back again (or so it appears). If it is him, I think it's definitely time to block some IPs. Dori (TalkContribs) 23:28, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
