י־ו־ן (y-w-n) |
From Proto-Semitic *šawmān-.

- (Modern Israeli Hebrew) IPA(key): /joˈna/

Usage notes
[edit]- Unlike English, which makes a distinction between doves and pigeons who constitute the same bird family – Columbidae, generally attributing positive attributes to the former and negative to the latter, Hebrew does not.
