Etymology

Apparently derived from the active participle of نَعَمَ (naʕama, to live in comfort, to be pleased, to enjoy) and نَعِمَ (naʕima, to live in comfort, to be pleased, to enjoy), from the root ن ع م (n-ʕ-m).
