    • 1925, Hirota Denzō, Beikoku genzai no kyōiku, page 357:
      (しか)しこの(すい)(てい)()()することが()()ない。(がっ)(こう)(ぶん)(だん)(かん)()(よう)()として(ひつ)(よう)なものである。
      Shikashi kono suitei wa iji suru koto ga dekinai. Gakkō no bundan wa kanri no yōso to shite hitsuyō na mono de aru.
      However, this presumption cannot be maintained. Segmentation of schools is a necessary element of their management.
  2. (Buddhism) abbreviation of 分段生死 (death and rebirth; reincarnation), 分段身 (one who is reincarnated), or 分段同居 (the present world, world of the living)
