- The United States Department of Commerce (DOC) set up a process through which a United States federal, state or local agency or department could register and reserve certain .US domain names through Neustar, the usTLD Administrator and the official usTLD Reserved List Registrar. As of December 31, 2004, the usTLD Government Reserved Names Program has been closed and does not accept requests for new .US domain names to be reserved through the program. If your agency has previously reserved a name that you would like to update and/or remove from the program, please contact the .US Customer Support team.
