Traditional markets are synonymous with negative stigma, such as dirty, disorderly places, minimal facilities, and the character of places that are prone to fraud. Simpang Dago market in the city of Bandung, which has a negative stigma, is also affected by the problems of irregular street vendors, traffic, and trade zoning. Simpang Dago Market revitalization has been carried out several times, but has not produced a significant impact. In fact, the revitalization in 2015 and 2019 has not resolved the problem of irregular street vendors, traffic, and trade zoning. The planned outputs in the Bandung City RDTR 2015-2035 and Bandung City RTRW 2022-2042 direct the expansion of the trade and service area in the Simpang Dago area. This has the potential to deal with problems that have not ended yet, by expanding Simpang Dago Market area inward which currently has an area of 3,610.05 m². The expansion of the Simpang Dago Market area has not been determined and studied further, so this research is important to overcome the irregularity problem. Calculations for the expansion of the Simpang Dago Market area in Bandung City used a mixed methods approach with descriptive and spatial (GIS-based) analysis methods. The results showed that Simpang Dago Market area could be planned for an inward expansion of 10,680 m² with an increase in the market classification to type II according to SNI 8152:2021 Public Market.

Coffee agroforestry in protected forest areas has the potential to be operated as a nature tourism destination. The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of coffee agroforestry in the KPHL Batutegi area as a nature tourism area. Data collection was conducted by field observation and interviews using questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using a modification of the Directorate General of Nature Tourism Object Operations (ADO-ODTWA) guidelines in 2003. The results showed that the potential of coffee agroforestry in KPHL Batutegi bordering Penantian Village and Sinar Banten Village has a medium potential value index. This means that the coffee agroforestry area in KPHL Batutegi has criteria that are not yet feasible to develop, because the element of accessibility (infrastructure), especially in the type of road taken with poor road conditions, makes it difficult to access the coffee agroforestry area. Tourism objects in the medium classification can be developed because a lot of planning is needed in structuring a good area in the future.

Uwzględniono trzy grupy podmiotów mogących mieć wpływ na ich sukces: konsumentów kupujących te marki, produkty, jakim one towarzyszą oraz sieci detaliczne, których są własnością.

Livelihood diversification could be determined by complex and diversified factors. Yet, unlike the rural areas, the situation is unexplored in the case of towns of developing economies. e objective of this study was to identify the determinants of households' livelihood diversification in a sub-Saharan town. Data were collected from 151 households and 4 key informants. In addition, secondary data were collected to supplement the primary data. Descriptive statistics were employed to identify the households' livelihood strategies. e level of households' livelihood diversification was estimated by the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index, whereas multinomial logistic regression was employed to investigate the determinants of the households' livelihood diversification. e result of the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index shows the presence of three levels of livelihood diversification among households: no diversification (11.26%), moderately diversified (26.49%), and highly diversified (62.25%). e model analysis revealed that out of eighteen predictor variables, only seven variables, namely, total cattle possession (B � 0.329, p < 0.1), land ownership (B � 120.572, p < 0.01), income from irrigation (B � 2.902, p < 0.05), total annual cash income (B � 0.000, p < 0.01), price fluctuation problem (B � 2.899, p < 0.05), market price fluctuation plus total cattle possession (B � 12.892, p < 0.01), and no price fluctuation plus total cash income (B � 0.000, p < 0.01) were found significantly influencing households' livelihood diversification. Households in the study town are engaged in different livelihood diversification strategies rather than relying on farm only for improving their wellbeing, and livelihood diversification was gaining a dominant role in households' income. Even if the Ethiopian agricultural policy gives more attention to the agriculture sector, there is evidence that households' income is not limited to agriculture. erefore, nonfarm livelihood diversification should be strengthened by government initiatives to sustain households' livelihood diversification.

The Australian aviation industry achieved substantial growth after the abolition of the "twoairline-policy" in 1990. With Virgin's purchase of Tiger Airways, a new duopoly between two airlines groups, each consisting of a full service airline (FSA) and a low cost carrier (LCC), emerged in the domestic market. In this study, we analyze the pricing dynamics among the four airlines of the duopoly groups, using panel data of online fares on the four most densely travelled routes in the domestic market. Our empirical results suggest that market segmentation allows the FSAs to charge significantly higher prices than the LCCs. Still, there is clear evidence of competition within and across the market segments, and the airlines' pricing responses are asymmetric. Virgin's price responses to Qantas and Jetstar are moderate. In comparison, more than one third of Qantas's fare changes and less than half of Jetstar's fare changes are in response to Virgin's fare adjustments in the previous period. Despite Qantas and Jetstar's large market share, after lengthy and costly price wars in previous years, the Qantas group still responds to Virgin as if competing with an entrant. All four carriers adopt revenue management practices, but the pricing of Qantas and Jetstar does not seem to be coordinated. Our study identifies a complex competition pattern between airline groups offering dual-brand services, and suggests that the Australian domestic market has not reached a stable equilibrium.

This paper investigates the current state of open access repositories and journals of Indonesian universities. It delineates few characteristics like types, contents, disciplines, language etc. The data source for the analysis are Open Directory of Open Access Repository (OpenDOAR) and Directory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ).We have found 38 such institutional repositories from Indonesia starting from 2009. Since then, this country has shown a good growth in Open Access. Though any kind of open access mandate is not exist but policy makers may consider new web access policy and publishing guidelines. The landscape of OA development in Indonesia is quite satisfactory.

Background: Nigeria is one of the two epicenters of malaria transmission across the globe and contributes to 40 percent global malaria burden. The LLINs distribution campaign is one of the significant and nationally acceptable strategic routes of delivering nets to the entire population across the country. Micro planning of the campaign has been completed in the state in readiness for LLINs 2019 distribution campaign. This study therefore tends to highlight the achievements of this concluded micro-planning processes in identifying all the campaigns needs and challenges while plan and proffer solutions to achieve the high quality campaign outcomes. Study design: This is a qualitative study involving the engagement of all RBM stakeholders. It entailed desk reviews, meetings, community engagements, development and adaptation of programme tools, Akubue Augustine Uchenna et al.: Quality Micro-Planning Processes -Key Strategy for Achieving High Quality LLINs Campaign: Pilot Report from Cross-River State Nigeria quantification, estimation of all the campaign needs using the WHO standardized estimates and inauguration of formed campaign work streams required for quality LLINs campaign implementations. Average volume of a bale of 0.14cubic meter, minimum volume of 120% of expected space considering the 20% handling area within the store facility and average access door space of >2.95sq meter) were used as standards for estimation. All variables were analyzed using Microsoft excel package and Health Mappers. Results: Comprehensive Advocacy, logistic and training plans that included and defined the roles and expectations of all the many stakeholders were developed. Micro plan population of 4,251,387 for 2019 with 2,361,882 LLINs, 6.613.3 m 3 and handling areas requirement of 1,322m 3 were estimated. A total of 11,864 personnel with their responsibilities were identified and trained including estimated costs of NGN387,143,880 at unit operational cost of NGN 166.34 for the delivery of 1 LLIN to the household. Advocacy kits with print materials for the campaign were pre-tested by health educator and identified programme challenges were highlighted. Conclusion: This study therefore underscores the importance of good micro-planning process for high quality LLINs campaign as recommended by WHO for the achievement of LLINs universal coverage.

We study how international equity mutual funds allocate their portfolios across countries and what factors determine their asset allocation decisions using micro-level data on mutual funds between 1998 and 2012. Our empirical results demonstrate that fund managers actively engage in a rebalancing strategy to manage their foreign equity portfolios and a motive behind this action comes mainly from managing the underlying equity market risk rather than currency risk. We also find that fund managers’ degree of rebalancing is larger in equity markets that exhibit a stronger correlation with the global market.

This study sets out on a survey to establish how earnings among smallholder tea factories are affected by this arrangement. The smallholder tea factories are managed by KTDA Ltd on behalf of smallholder tea growers. The research design used in this study is survey design. This involved collection o f data from members o f the population in order to determine the current status o f that population with respect to various variables. It entailed asking respondents questions by administering a questionnaire and by interviewing them. The target population in the study is 59 smallholder tea factories exporting their tea produce through Mombasa Tea Auction. These factories are situated on the highlands. They are spread some to the East and some to the West of the Great Rift Valley. The factories are managed by KTDA Ltd and the sample and sampling techniques is census. This study utilized a questionnaire in conjunction with interviews and content analysis. The study has also employed correlation analysis technique. The analysis shows that there is a positive relationship between percentage changes in exchange rate and percentage change in net pay per kilogram o f green leaf paid. This research concludes that exchange rate fluctuation has some effects on the earnings of smallholder tea factories. There is positive correlation between appreciation of Kenya shilling and increase in earnings. The appreciation o f Kenya shilling relates positively to increase in value o f sales in Kenya shilling but inversely related to the quantities o f teas exported.

Nigeria had a vision of zero death from malaria by 2020 and was making efforts to achieve the goal. Reducing malaria mortality or eliminating malaria requires community ownership and active participation. This paper describes activities carried out in Bayelsa State to commemorate the 2019 World Malaria Day – an important global event towards eliminating malaria. Several organizations in the state collaborated to organize the event and used various media to spread the key messages of the day. Inadequate resources however limited full commemoration. A better- funded event in the future has potential for a larger impact.

The government of Nigeria ordered closure of schools to slow the spread of COVID-19 when the pandemic hit the country. About 5 months into the outbreak, secondary schools have been reopened to allow students to write their terminal examinations. Many state governments and school owners are fumigating their schools as a way of disinfecting the school environment and ensuring safe resumption of academic activities. We discuss the undue attention given to fumigation in this instance and stress the importance of addressing more beneficial and sustainable strategies to prevent COVID-19 in Nigerian schools.

In this paper, we show how the practice of buying CDs surreptitiously conditions our musical activities, and how the practice of classifying a priori, making changes one at a time, structured by buying and the notion of genre, will disappear, as develops an ad-hoc organization of auditory samples, centered on prototypes and similarity. This movement is a proof of the loss of importance of the instantiation of CD marketing categories. The organic vegetable business is a business that has high opportunities. The real conditions experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic harmed farmers who were also in the organic vegetable business, namely a 50 percent decrease in sales. A sustainable agricultural business depends on the entrepreneurial spirit possessed by agribusiness actors. This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial internal and external factors on the sustainability of the organic vegetable business with business performance as an intervening variable. This research was carried out from October to December 2022 in Batur Village, Getasan District. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative, with primary and secondary data types. The sample used is 100 respondents, taken by nonprobability sampling with the purposive method. Data analysis techniques used by researchers are structural equation modeling (SEM) and partial least squares path modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of this research are entrepreneurial internal factors (X1) with p-value 0,003 and entrepreneurial external factors (X2) with p-value 0,000 have a significant and significant positive effect on the sustainability of the organic vegetable business (Y2). But entrepreneurial internal factors (X1) with p-value 0,117 and entrepreneurial external factors (X2) with p-value 0,122 have no significant effect on business sustainability (Y2) through business performance (Y1) as intervening variables. Therefore, if everyone improves business performance personally it will distrupt business performance in the group.

Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan faktor internal yang mengembangkan Warkos adalah menu makanan yang disajikan,ketrampilan juru masak, harga makanan dan minuman yang relatife murah skor rata-rata bernilai 2,889 pada IFE. Faktor eksternal  Warkos di Salatiga diperoleh peluang perijinan kepada RT/RW dan ancamannya pesaing usaha warung, harga bahan baku, UMR dan tingkat upah 3,278 pada matriks IFE.

This study examines socioeconomic factors on consumer loyalty in choosing to shop at the traditional Ampel market in Boyolali Regency. In order for traditional markets to survive and develop in the competitive business world in competing for consumers, it must be able to understand it's consumers. Many factors can influence consumer loyalty in choosing to shop in traditional markets. In this study the factors that are thought to influence are product prices, product quality, merchant service, product location and market days. The type of research used is a survey with 50 sampling using incidental sampling. The type of data used is primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and data analysis techniques used multiple linear regression. Instrument test results show all valid and reliable. Multiple linear regression test shows Y = -9,199 + 0.510 X1 + 0.460 X2 -0.192 X3 + 0.708 X4 + 0.551 X5. It is shows that product price variables, product quality, market location and market day have a positive effect on consumer loyalty.

The benefits from open disclosure will most often be seen when open disclosure is performed in an ‘ideal’ manner. When open disclosure is suboptimal, it can lead to harmful consequences for patients and health care providers alike. Numerous factors may contribute to an inadequate open disclosure including: potentially inadequate legal protection for health care professionals or organisations; failing to meet patient and/or family expectations; health care professionals experiencing a lack of education, training and support from the health care organisation; or a fear of litigation. Within the last decade, the phenomenon of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has gained significance in the corporate world from a marketing context, yet very little empirical work exists to highlight its importance from a human resource context. CSR is often embedded in the sustainability agenda of the organization, in which different factors impact the CSR based human resource (HR) policies of an organization. The data were collected through interviews. In this interview, Telenor’s mission and policies for employees, society, environment and customers were analyzed. Three themes emerged in the interview that affected the CSR based HR policies: management style, economic impact of CSR on the organization and the overall CSR strategic approach of the firm. The paper concludes that CSR is strongly emphasized in Telenor Pakistan’s approach and reflected in its codes of conduct, policies as well as management style.

Hybrid Make-To-Stock (MTS)/Make-To-Order (MTO) production systems have recently attracted the interest of practitioners and academicians in the eld of operations management, since these systems bene t from both stock-based and orderdriven strategies. In this paper, capacity coordination dynamics of a hybrid MTS/MTO production system is addressed, whose continuous production line is comprised of three workstations. Also, the product portfolio of the considered system includes three kinds of product; pure MTS, pure MTO, and hybrid MTS/MTO. In the developed model, system performance is explored and assessed in terms of system delivery lead time. To do so, three capacity coordination rules are studied; simple average of expected demands, weighted average of expected demands, and the dynamic mechanism for the di erence between target and actual delivery lead times. Moreover, the e ects of demand uncertainty are taken into account.

M. King Hubbert, an American geophysicist, in 1956 introduced a logistic equation for the estimation of USA oil peak and lifetime. As a case study, this paper investigates the Hubbert peak of Iran's crude oil production. In this work, the authors have adopted system dynamics methodology to examine the Hubbert peak for Iran's oil production. Results show that the peak will occur in 1422 Iranian year (2043 Gregorian year) with a value of 624.146 million tons which is about 3.1 times of the 1385 Iranian year (2006 Gregorian year) production. The proposed model helps us to evaluate different scenarios as well as performing sensitivity analysis which give us informative and useful forecasts about the time and value of Hubbert peak in different conditions. Thus, it is useful for Iranian and international energy policy makers to understand the forthcoming shortage in the world's energy supply. Since this is the first study of Hubbert peak for Iran, comparison with pervious forecasts about this peak is not possible in this study.

Purpose -Since the financial services industry has reached a level of maturity in terms of products and quality of delivery of services and the advent of foreign players, there has been virtual war for talent among the premier stockbroking companies in India and it is observed that the need of the hour is to ensure long-term association of the employees with the company. It is necessary to understand how best one can integrate the aspirations of the employees in this industry with the mission and goals of the organization. Design/methodology/approach -This paper presents the modern trends involved in changing office dynamics and people associated with it, growing Intellectuality and aspirations, the changing face of the stockbroking industry and how the job of a stockbroker has been adding value to business. This paper provides an overview of the environmental factors, workplace factors and trade factors and the intensity of their influence on various functions of stockbroking. Findings -The stockbroking firms require professionals of different cadre: dealers, research analysts, business development executives, operation executives, executives associated with surveillance and risk management. This paper analyses the nature of the job of these professionals, the soft skills and hard skills the job demands on the part of the doer. Employee engagement may not be easy unless one promotes among one's employees a clear understanding about the interdependence of the various functions of stockbroking -operations, dealing, research trends, business development and surveillance and risk management processes. In the process, it indicates how the players in the stockbroking industry need to gear up to ensure a hassle-less flow of the business. Originality/value -The paper concludes with a discussion on ''biting the bullet before it pricks'' and strategies the stockbroking companies need to follow for ensuring long-term association with their employees.

Papua New Guinea is rich in natural resources, including minerals, oil, gas, timber and fish, and cash crops such as coffee, palm oil, cocoa, copra, rubber, tea and spices which contribute significantly to Papua New Guinea’s overall development. Several mining, oil and gas companies are currently operating in Porgera, Ok Tedi, Lihir, Hidden Valley, Sinivit, Simberi, Tolukuma, Kutubu and Gobe. The operations of these companies have generated an estimated K13.42 billion to Papua New Guinea’s economy. Landowners affected by these developments also receive royalties from those operations. The efficient spending of public money is a matter of social concern. In the regulations of many countries, at the end of fiscal year, the unused budget "expires" and the remaining money is returned to the treasury, with the budget for the following year possibly reduced. In response, people in their spending capacities tend to use up the remaining budget towards the end of the year, in a "use it or lose it" mentality. Here we reproduce this "end-of-year spending binge" in an experiment, where subjects tend to spend excessively towards the end of fiscal year. We show that by modifying the budget rule so that the remaining money is "carried over", the excessive spending can be significantly curbed. Our results suggest that experiments in the laboratory can be used to study people's budget spending behavior and identify factors that affect wasteful overspending, potentially helping design financial rules that encourage effective use of budget.

The World Bank and the Government of Jordan recently completed a collaborative poverty assessment in Jordan. This article summarizes the key results of the assessment. The main conclusion of the assessment is that poverty declined in Jordan between 1997 and 2002-03 no matter which method of assessment is chosen. Based on the methodology discussed below, it is estimated that the percentage of poor in Jordan fell by a third from 21.3 percent in 1997 to 14.2 percent in 2002.

This study looks into the intricate connections between leadership style, pay, career possibilities, employee performance, staff retention, and the productivity of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. The study employed a quantitative research methodology using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis to gather and examine data from 487 employees of MSMEs in Indonesia. Significant conclusions emerged from the data, including the following: high employee performance positively impacts employee retention and MSME performance, structured career opportunities enhance employee outcomes, remuneration impacts both employee performance and retention, and employee retention impacts MSME performance. These results highlight HRM strategies' role in motivating workers' productivity and retention, boosting MSMEs' overall success in the Indonesian market.

The structure of the economy continues to change; where once they are dependent on the productivity of a manual workforce, companies increasingly depend on the productivity of knowledge workers. Today, knowledge workers account for more than two‐thirds of the workforce, and thus should be the focus of strategic plans to improve productivity. Currently there are no universally accepted methods to measure knowledge worker productivity, or even generally accepted categories. This paper provides a taxonomy of knowledge worker productivity measurements, and identifies a number of productivity dimensions that are used to categorize the findings of previous research. Also describes the relative density of discussions along these dimensions and identifies critical areas for future research.
