Choo So Jung, also known as Exy of WJSN, who recently starred alongside EXO's Xiumin in the romantic comedy 'Huh’s Kitchen,' has been cast in the upcoming tvN drama 'Divorce Insurance.'
According to Ten Asia’s report on the 25th, Choo So Jung will join the cast of 'Divorce Insurance,' an office romantic comedy centered on the innovative product development team of an insurance company. The drama explores the creation of a product called "Divorce Insurance" and features a team of top-tier professionals tasked with its development. Lee Dong Wook, Lee Joo Bin, Lee Kwang Soo, and Lee Da Hee have been confirmed as lead actors, with Choo So Jung portraying a member of the development team.
The drama promises a fresh and relatable storyline, using the unique concept of "Divorce Insurance," which quantifies divorce-related factors to determine insurance coverage. Directed by Lee Won Seok in his drama debut, the series is co-directed by Choi Bo Kyung of 'Ants Are Riding' and written by Lee Tae Yoon of 'Eosa and Joy.'
Choo So Jung, who debuted as the leader of the 10-member girl group WJSN in February 2016, has recently been expanding her career under her real name. She showcased her acting skills in the 2021 drama 'IDOL [Idol: The Coup],' where she delivered a memorable performance, and made a notable special appearance last month in the drama 'Marry You,' playing Lee Yi Kyung’s blind date partner.
