Jill Stuart has been a celebrated member of the New York fashion scene for 25 years. The designer's runway shows and presentations are always filled with apparel that combines elegance with whimsy. But what many of even her biggest fashion fans don't realize is that the designer also has an eponymous makeup line with a similar vibe and the three new products launching today feel like must-have accessories for the season.
Jill Stuart Beauty's Black Dress Collection features two products inspired by, as Stuart puts it, the "special little thrill you feel when selecting your favorite black dress from your closet" — and the gorgeous black packaging aligns perfectly with the concept of the classic little black dress. First, there's Modeling Lucent Eyes, a four-shade eye shadow palette that features a base, accent, stain, and deep color that create a gradient, translucent look. Although they're powders, the shades contain adhesive oils that prevent sliding and chalkiness and the base shade is especially creamy. The quads are available in two neutrals — one that leans golden brown and one with more pink undertones.
The Modeling Lucent Eyes formula contains Chinese peony extract, Damascus rose extract, and avocado oil as does its launch mate, Dressed Rouge liquid lipstick. It promises a creamy texture with a glossy finish while protecting lips from dryness. The six shades are all arguably instant classics: a true red, a dark red, a brick red, a bright pink, a beige-y pink, and a mauve.
Also dropping today as its own independent holiday launch is the Twinkle Glow Multi Stick. It's a limited-edition highlighter packaged in a Swarovski crystal-embellished tube featuring a built-in mirror cap that allows you to apply it on the go and anywhere on your face. While the moisturizing cream formula looks amazing on cheekbones as you might expect from a highlighter, it's also perfect for adding a snowy shimmer to eyelids and even to bare or tinted lips.
