Customer Review

After I watched the entire anime series of Eva I was left wanting more, then I saw the manga series. I was impressed, it was the same but different. If you have watched the anime you really should check this out, the way I usualy define it is that its Eva but *more*
More character development
More comedy
More conspiring
More darkness
As with the series the manga follows Shinji though this time we get a clearer look into his personality, background and motivation. The same can be said for all the other characters but perhaps to a lesser extent.
Now if you haven't seen the anime this is still a great read: fantastic art and a deep and complex plot. It should be noted though this isn't really a mecha story at heart. It does have giant robots yes but a large percentage of the series is about the human condidtion. How differant peoiple look at the world and interact with each other. In the first volume you get introduced to most of the major characters and the world they are in (and a pretty cool fight despite my earlier mecha comment).
So if you are new to Eva or not - have a look it is well worth it.
