- Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2010This is the second CD of this one I've purchased. I guess we wore the other one out. The whole family enjoys it. There are fast pieces, slow pieces, silly, and romantic. If you've seen the film it's even better because you can remember to which part of the music goes. I highly recommend this CD for classical music and film buffs.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 11, 1998This is an excelllent accompaniment for the play of the same name by Shakespeare. A number of simple but powerful themes are interwoven throughout this orchestral set, with the tapestry-like rendition of "Sigh No More" crowning them all. As with all soundtracks, it is especially fun to hear if you have seen the movie, but this music can well stand on its own. The different tracks range from victorious to beautiful to comic, and include a thumping renaissance dance band for example ("The Masked Ball") and a couple choral pieces that are top-rate for "hum-ability." Simple, fun, and clean.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2013Love the movie, love the music. Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson have good chemistry together. Love her rendition of Sigh No More, and then the sung version will have you singing at home. Highly recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2011Beautiful music.
Patrick Doyle has done it again.
I watched to movie and heard the music.I thought "I must get the music."
And I sounds as lovely as it does in the movie.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2018The film score is a delight and pleasure to listen to again and again.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2013Arrived quickly and safely. I didn't like the sound track as much as I thought I would but I'd still happy I have the CD. Good seller to purchase from.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2015Can watch this movie again and again! Great cast, great directing!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2010This soundtrack of Kenneth Branagh's 2nd Shakespearean adaptatation is just as much fun as the movie itself. You can actually visualize the movie as you're listening to the soundtrack. Yet another triumph for Mr. Branagh & Mr. Doyle.

4.0 out of 5 stars La alegría hecha BSO
Esta película me trae recuerdos muy buenos, y su banda sonora es de esas partituras que te ponen de buen humor solo de oírlas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unglaublich guter Soundtrack!
Schließe mich jeder Lobeshymne an.
