These work great! I ordered 3 sets and put them up under the eaves of my home and around my front door, primarily to use as red, white, and green Christmas lights; however, because the cords are very fine and the LED's are tiny, they virtually disappear during the daytime and when not lit, so I'm leaving them up year-round (which will also save a lot of effort each year in not having to put them up and take them down using a 20 ft. extension ladder). I set them with team colors on nights when there are football games on TV for my favorite teams as well as on other holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentines Day, St. Patricks Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, and Voting Day. The variety of color choices lets me pick colors appropriate for each use. I like the fact that I can set them to go on and off automatically for 6-hour periods and that everything can be controlled from the remote, of which there are 2 provided. Only cons are that instructions for buttons on the remote could be better and they used black print against a dark gray background on buttons for function settings. The contrast is so bad I need a flashlight to see what the buttons do if I'm trying to use the remote in a dark room or outside at night, even with some ambient light in the area. The photo I attached is unfortunately overexposed but it does provides an idea of how they look for this use (red and green lights under eaves of roof in photo) and that they are plenty bright (brightness is adjustable if you want less). Only other thing I wished is that when you set them to flash, fade, jump, etc., that you could do that for a single color. It appears those functions only work for alternating between all colors but as I said the directions are minimal and maybe I haven't yet discovered just how to do that. Overall, very satisfied and highly recommend these!

Nifty little lights...After I modified them!!!
I like how bright they are.The remote has worked A-Ok.The batteries do die out quickly. Solution:DIY electronics project to change them into USB plug & play! :)I now plug them into a USB wall power adaptor and they're even better!!!You can YouTube search how to do this simple, and fun, electronics project.If you go the electronics DIY route... here are some tips:1. Purchase a power usb cable. A data USB cable will also send power, you will just need tosnip off all other colors so only Red & Black are left to solder with.2. Decide how long you need your USB cable to be.3. Red = + & Black = -4. You'll need a way to make a hole, or cut/melt a groove, for the wire to go into the battery box.5. I used 2 small zip ties, to keep the wire from being accidentally yanked out & off the solder points.One zip tie around the usb wire on the outside of the box, one on the usb wire on the inside of the battery box.They act as 'stoppers'. Make sense? I saw a lot of people try to use a hot glue gun... zip ties seamed the quickest, easiest...and less messy!I see other companies now selling USB Fairy Light versions... I'll still buy another set from this company again, because:1. I like choosing how long I want the power cord to be.2. I've read that the pre-made USB powered ones have the remote control IR receiver on the USB male end of the plug. When plugging these into a USB/electrical converter, the power outlet may be located behind a dresser, or other large piece of furniture. This will obstruct the capacity for the remote to communicate with the IR receiver on the USB male end, thereby making the remote useless. So, doing it the DIY way avoids this issue as I can place the IR signal receiver in a location that is open and plug hand soldered USB cable where I want it.Maybe I'll try a set that uses a phone app to adjust the colors? That's next level... hahaha!

I was absolutely amazed at how these tiny little lights could be so vibrant and make such a big impact. I was looking for a rope type light to wrap our palm and originally bought the standard rope lights and they were far too overwhelming for our current holiday lighting scheme and difficult to work with so I wanted to try something a little smaller and these are absolutely perfect! They looked so small when they arrived (and come in a very small box) and I didn't think they would work at all but I was pleasantly surprised when we plugged them in. I bought the 66' length and it easily covered all three trunks of our palm and put out a great deal of light. Any more and I think it would have been too much with our other lighting. There are also a ton of color choices and effects to choose from on the remote control. I liked these lights so much I immediately ordered two more sets to use elsewhere for next year. Thanks to all the previous reviewers who wrote such a positive review for these lights as I likely may have not purchased them thinking they would be too small. Highly recommend!
