I just read and totally enjoyed “The Babylonian Chronicles” by Henry Sipes. This story told several smaller stories that captured my attention chapter by chapter. I could not put the book down and read the book one evening well past my bedtime. I needed to know if Salaam Rahal survived. If survived, did he learn the mystery of the Babylonian lines. I was riveted by Sara Lafeete the base engineer. Her grit and determination to survive the perilous situation in the lava tubes held my attention. Her relationship with Calager McGeen seemed to be doomed from the start but this couple’s loves proved to be stronger than metal. Every team needs a leader with instincts, strength and know-how like Calager McGeen. From his mentorship and example, I could see how Shaahida was able to find her strength to lead her platoon and how Joaquin Gonzales was able to demonstrate the greatest of courage in the face of extreme danger. This book tells what has to be the start of an even bigger story. Will we read more about the Admiral? If you are ready to read an edge of your seat adventure, read this book by Henry Sipes. I know I'm ready for the next story.
