M. Peck

I’ve “rescued” an old photograph identified only as M. PECK of Champion, MI which was taken at the Child’s Art Gallery Studio in Ishpeming, MI. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880’s with Miss PECK appearing to be in her 30’s or 40’s at the time it was taken. In addition to her name, someone has written “My Champion Teacher” and the name “Jemima”. Based on limited research I believe that this is a photograph of Mary PECK with census information as follows:

1870 census of Ishpeming, MI: - living in a hotel owned by Leon & Caroline PARADIS

Mary PECK, age 30, Teaching School, born MI
