What a criminally underrated show... Only few spin-offs supersede the original series, and this is one of those rare cases. Tonegawa is made into a lovable and relatable character, whose daily life is strangely entertaining and hilarious.
In Kaiji, Tonegawa is this ruthless adversary with a powerful presence and rigid diligence, this series depicts him as a struggling cog in the machine who gradually builds his grandeur.
Furthermore, the opening perfectly captures the spirit of this show.

'For fans', because this will be best enjoyed by mature viewers with experience working in a corporate environment, and by viewers who are familiar with Japanese behavioral nuances (although this series is not nearly as demanding in that respect as Sunred).
Worthy of joining the ranks of Kaiji and Akagi. It might be interesting to rewatch Kaiji with this series still fresh in the mind.
